Often descripted as alof, and withdrawn, Yvelont wasn't one for socializing even form a young age. He founds satisfaction in physical activities, and pushing himself to his limit. He has a rather perfectionist idea for both himself, and to those around him. At times it can cause friction with those he loves. Even if he comes from a place of good intentions. Because of the nature of war, Yvelont finds that he tends to hold people at arm's legnth, and struggles to connect to others around him, floundering a bit in conversation. Or at least he used to, within the past year due to gentle coaching, and patience, Yvelont's more cold demenor has started to thaw. A still quiet, and reserved man, he is starting to enjoy the little things in life.

✦ㅤㅤFacial ScarsㅤㅤThe most notable scar that Yve has is the one over his right cheek that goes from his jaw to the inner corner of his eye. A rather deep one, but has since healed. He also has another on his forehead that isn't quite as deep, but still there.

✦ㅤㅤStoic EspressionㅤㅤWhile Yvelont is not expressionless,per say, he does tend to hold a more neutral expression while during casual conversations, and moments of idleness. It's only when a rise of emotions ( be it positive or negative ) does his facial expression starts to change. Though, he is quick with a frown at times.

✦ㅤㅤDisabled Left HandㅤㅤOne Yve's left hand, there are two missing fingers that are cut to the first knuckle. The cut there looks like it was done surgically suggesting that some was taken off. There is additional scaring on his other fingers and palms that make holding things harder.

Yvelont has been fighting from a relatively young age. He was first trained by his mother, Ufette Durendaire, in the way of the lance until a tutor was hired to help hone his skilled even further. He then joined the Durendaire milita at the age of 16, and was knighted as part of the Knights Dragoon at 22. Many years later, Yvelont wished to drop the lance, and picked up the gunblade to learn a new discipline. Though, he learns through more from self-teaching, Nemisae De Durael acts as a mentor of sorts.

✦ㅤㅤHigh JumpㅤㅤA signature move of the Knights Dragoon. Yve deploys it as much as he can, jumping several fulms into the air, and landing back down on his opponent with his land pointing down. Usually a very strong attack.

Born in the Durendaire Manor close to the Jewel Cozier, Yvelont was born on the 27th day of the 6th Umbral moon in the evening. He was given the namesake of his mother's brother who passed two years before he was born.2 years later, his younger sister, Clementine, was born. He was enthralled with her, constantly trying to help as best as a big brother could. Though, being so young there was not much a two year old could do, and there was only so interesting a baby could be. During this time, Yvelont took to following his older brother, Ostrort, and his older cousin Carvallain. His brother quickly outgrew as he was nearly 6 years older than him, but his cousin ( who was only a year or two older ) was close with him. Thick as thieves, they were. Constantly following Ostrort, or playing at knights in the courtyear. Or, when they could manage to get away, run along the Jeweled Cozier chasing each other.As Yvelont grew older, and older, he took the stories that his mother told him of her time as a Knights Dragoon to heart. He loved the image of being a knight like that. As soon as he turned 7 summer, he begged, and begged, and begged his parents to allow him to start training as soon as he could. At first, it was just his mother, and him doing training exercises to get used to the weapon in his hands.

The first trageidy that struck Yvelont was when his older cousin, Carvalian was killed out at sea. He was 12 at the time, and took his death hard. He turned inwards for a time, focusing only on training with the lance. That was until he noticed one of the kitchen staff's nephew would hang back, and watch him. At first, he would ignore him, but seeing that the boy was trying to copy his moves, he offered the boy ( Stephannot Rillement as he turned out to be named ) to teach him what he knew once everyone went to bed that night.The two were, unfortunately, caught, and reprimanded for staying out past cerfew. In the morning, Yvelont begged his parents to let Stephannot train with him. They were reluctant at first to have a servant's nephew train with him, but relented when Yvelong became more, and more insistent on it, not letting the topic drop. So the Durendiare family hired a tutor for the two of them. An older hyur by the name of Theodgar Cater who used to be a Knight Dragoon as well. A grumpy, and stern older man who did not take kindly to any 'talk back'.The two boys flourished under the old hyur's tutldige, and when Yve turned 16 summers, he was easily sworn into the Durendaire militia. While he holds no noble obligations anymore, he still has ties ( and loyalty ) to said house, and many other people within the aristocratic sphere. Even if he has come to enjoy the distance between himself, and that part of his life now.

Yvelont swore an oath to the Holy Sea, and swerved for roughly 8 years beofre being given an 'Honorable' discharge. While he has complicated feelings about the order as a whole after time apart, his time as a Dragoon is something that Yvelont still holds very dear to himself, and shaped the way he views himself. Though, he doesn't talk about it often to those that he does not trust.

Not too long after Yvelont's disownment, he started work as an adventurer. Solo work that matched his specialization was hard to come by, but after being approached by Kris Vaufon, he started working with an adventurer group by the name The Crimson Mirage. The group tends to work mostly in Coerthas, and the Black Shroud, but do venture out should the work call for such things. Yvelont can often be found running around doing odd jobs now, and again.

A stern, but not unkind woman. Ufette was once a Knight Dragoon herself until an injury took her from active duty. As a mother she very much pushes her children to be the exceptional versions of themselves, even if she finds it hard to be more 'motherly' with them. Of her three children she found herself closes to her middle child. whom she named after her brother.

✦ Shiollort Durendaire .

The second son, but the third child of his siblings, Shiollort was always the more charismatic one of the bunch. As such, he was tasked with tending to the relation between House Durendaire, and the other houses. something he takes complete pride in. He holds no favorites amongst his children, but he and Ostrort always got along well with hos similar they are. yet despite this, he always made sure to make time for all three of them.

A nobleman who charms anyone who crosses his path. Raised with the intentions to help with the houses diplomacy efforts once their father stepped down, Ostrort took to the game with vigor, and delights in winning. Yvelont, and Ostrort get along well enough for siblings, abut find themselves at odds on more than one occasion. Still, despite all the arguments, and disagreements, Yvelont still cherishes his older brother.

The artist of the family, she had taken up singing up in her youth, and excelled greatly in the specialized skill. As well as any other art disciple she could get her hands on. Clementine spends most days on her craft, and finds the socializing of the noble cast exhausting at times. Something Yvelont, and Clementine agree on. Though she can be quite troublesome, and mischievous, Yvelont watches fondly over his younger sister.

An orphan originally from The Brume that joined the Knights Dragoon. Emmett very easily lets things slight off his back. One of the few people that was not intimidated by Yvelont's bluntness, he delights in egging the noble on ,and laughing about it. Though, Yvelont originally thought of him as a slacker with very little ambition, he came to respect the man as a brother-in-arms. Nowadays, he finds adventure outside of Ishgard as an adventurer.

The youngest of 4 brothers, Stephannot was from a farm out in the hinterlands, but was sent to live with his uncle who worked as a chef in the Durendaire Manor. Yvelont, and Stephannot met as young lads, and have stuck together through most of life's up, and downs through their years as Knights Dragoon. When the Dragonsong war ended, they kept in contact. Even when Stephannot eventually left Isghard with Emmett.

The two originally meet by chance at the tavern fight pit Fury's Hallow. Though Yve was a tad sore from a loss, the two seemed to hit it off. Now Yve considers Amaury to be a close confidant of his, and strives to be a pillar that Amaury can lean on during hard times.

The two meet when Yvelont approached Kris about an ad he had put up when a member of his party was injured. He stepped in at first as a temporary member, but was eventually offered a more permanent place in the Crimson Mirage when the trial period was over. The two get along fairly well even if Yvelont holds people at an arm's length.

A young squire Yvelont meet during his Dragoon years. Almoux wished to become a dragoon like him, and so the two bonded as Yve mentored him. Eventually, Almoux would be knighted as a Knight Dragoon himself, however, his career did not last very long as 2 years later he was killed in a dragon attack that Yvelont still feels responsible for years later.

Hello !! I have been playing FFXIV now since a little before Endwalker, and have been rping within the game for the past 3~ish years, though I have been rping in general since my early teens. I prefer para rping over script rping.FFXIV isn't the only game I play as I have an interest in ( and take inspiration from ) FFXVI, Baldur's Gate 3, Cyberpunk 77, the Dragon Age Franchise, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. So while I do play this game often, I try to take breaks to either focus on other things, and I am not available all the time. But I am always happy to make time !!

I prefer to rp with people over the age of 25. I find that I tend to have a lot more in common with people that within at least 5 years of my age range. With that said, the absolutely youngest I am willing to rp with is 21 years. Any lower, and I will generally not go out of my way to interact. I won't ignore you, but I will not seek out your company. Anyone younger than 18 years old, however, WILL be ignored. If I find out you lied about your age, I will cut communications.

I hold the view that whatever happens IC does not hold absolute value in OOC. If you have a shitty chara, or something bad happens between charas, that does not mean that you are a shitty person, or that we suddenly hate each other. And I expect the same in return. I have a few charas that will snap, push people away, and act in destructive ways at times. I expect you to understand that just because these things happen in rp, does not mean anything outside of rp.

While I maintain the IC=/=OOC, I do still reserve the right to end communication / rp over conversations / sessions / charas that make me uncomfortable. I am doing this for fun, and I'm not beholden to you because you wish to rp just as you get to reserve the right to not rp with me. I will try to talk things out to see if we can't come to an agreement, but, again, I am not going to stress myself out to make things work over things that make me uncomfortable.

✦ㅤㅤWriting Style.ㅤ

I would consider myself more of a para writer. While I try to contain things to a single post, I tend to write out what my chara is doing, and saying. I will not tell you how to write your post, they are YOUR posts after all, but I like rping with other para writers. It's just what I'm used to after years of rping on tumblr. You don't have to write out a full para, especially if all your chara is doing is saying something to move the conversation along. But generally speaking, try to keep to a para style.

✦ㅤㅤShipping.ㅤ

At the moment, I am not interested in shipping Yvelont with anyone seeing as he has a partner. This does not mean that it will be a flat out NO from me, it's just not something I am seeking, or interested in. Either way, I tend to ship based off chemistry more than anything. If I feel like our characters have romantic chemistry, I will be open to the possibility of it, but do not hold me accountable to it.

✦ㅤㅤWarrior of Light / Scions.ㅤ

Generally speaking, I do not like rping with Warriors of Lights / Scions as I feel it can make for imbalances in rp at times. I will not exactly ignore your status in open world rp, but I will not affirm it exactly. I also don't like bringing MSQ into rp unless it directly relates to the side of Eorzea ( Ishgard ) that I generally rp in, or I like the concept. Yes, I understand that's pretty vague, and up for interpretation, but ask if you are unsure.
